This week's spotlight on an alumna who attended an HBCU is Mariah DuPont '10. "What attracted me to Howard University was the institution's rich history and values. Howard has been a long standing pillar of excellence in not only the black community but the world having produced some of the most profound and recognizable alumni from freedom fighters, Nobel Peace Prize winners, to our current Vice President of the United States. However, what I love most about my alma mater is the long standing friendships and connections I gained, the bonds you build as a Bison are life long. Some of my favorite memories include having my own radio show on WHBC, the many traditions like soul food Thursday in the cafe, and of course the best Homecoming ever. I am now a Creative Producer in NYC creating branded content for brands like Converse, Nike, NBA, Lancôme and more."
