The Social Studies faculty and members of Rho Kappa, the Social Studies Honor Society, created an enriching program of daily activities for MMA's second annual History Week. Of special note, Social Studies teacher Jackie Ozzimo '07 and a select group of seniors who represented a cross section of Student Council, Rho Kappa, Mock Trial, and the Black Student Union attended a town hall meeting with Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch at the National Constitution Center. Alumna Jenna Winterle Kehres '03 serves as Senior Manager of Programs at National Constitution Center and helped facilitate the experience.
Social Studies chair Paul Clementi also received some exciting professional news! Mr. Clementi attended a professional development seminar with the Glider Lehrman Institute for American History led by University of Pennsylvania Professor Daniel Richter, Director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies. Part of the program required participants to develop lesson plans. Mr. Clementi's lesson plan was just selected and posted on Digital Paxton: Digital Collection, Critical Edition, and Teaching Platform.
