Dear Merion Mercy Community,
I am thrilled to now be a part of the Merion Mercy family. The level of dedication at Merion makes it clear that there is something truly special about this school.
My role came about after a strategic and intentional process. In January 2020, Merion embarked on an immersive climate study that provided data to use to assess school culture and make institutional changes to support the work of a Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. Now that I have been appointed to this role, I look forward to partnering with community members to learn more.
It is my belief that the work of a Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging is defined by the needs of the people served and represented. Part of that work is listening to ensure all voices are heard. Furthermore, as I continue to learn more about this magnificent Mercy charism, it is clear to me that we are compelled by Mercy to come together to care for one another in a myriad of ways.
In some initial steps to learn more and connect with the broader MMA community, I invite you to register for a listening session. The parent/caregiver listening session will be held at Merion Mercy on Monday, August 16 from 6-7 p.m.; the alumna listening session will be held at Merion Mercy on Tuesday, August 17 from 6-7 p.m.
