Senior Caroline Stellar's shot found the back of the net and dethroned the reigning two-time District 1 Class 2A field hockey champion, Villa Maria, in visiting Merion Mercy's 3-2 upset win on Tuesday.
Merion Mercy will move on to the District 1 2A final against Mount St. Joseph on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Methacton.
