Alumna Gabrielle Bruno '10 and current student Shannon Sabia '20 teamed up to return CandyCare to MMA this year. CandyCare's 19th annual Halloween candy drive marked its biggest collection ever bringing in 5,583 pounds of candy for those experiencing homelessness. What started as a small school service project (when Gabby was in first grade) with one school has grown each year and now includes 45 schools, churches, businesses, and organizations throughout the Delaware Valley. The Brunos thank the MMA students, spearheaded by the mother-daughter team of Shannon Sabia '20 and Cathy Williamson Sabia '85, who participated this year bringing in 40 pounds of candy for the drive.
