Progress continues at a good pace. Structural steel is almost complete as we see final joists and decking at new gymnasium be put into place. Concrete slabs on first and second floors have been poured. Structural framing has begun around perimeter of cafeteria. Piping and duct work preparations are underway and will continue into January. Roofing, exterior masonry, and glazing systems will also begin in the new year with a focus to enclose building. Once enclosed, interior work can go on uninterrupted.
Upward & Onward is a 15-month building project, which will dramatically improve its infrastructure, allowing the facilities to better serve the needs of the students and the academy’s trailblazing programs. The renovations will include the new Frances M. Maguire '53 Art & Design Center, a Student Activities and Athletics Center, an energy-efficient Kitchen and Dining Commons, a Counseling Center, and Collaborative Learning Spaces.
